Thanks for the help. I, or should I say you, have solved the problem. It was my failure to tune in the TV. My TV Link still isn't working. Does everyone have this problem? I always thought ariel cable was ariel cable. If it does need something special, maybe you should notify people before purchase.

With regard to your suggestion about "ariel" cable that "I should notify people before purchase" ... well I already do!!!

If you look at the catalogue page where you found the TV Link/Digilink and click on the blue underlined words that say "Read more about this" you will be transported to the bottom of the page where it gives you copious detail including the sentence "Be sure to connect with Double-screened satellite coaxial cable! Ordinary 'TV grade' cable can pick up interference and prevent the TV LINK from working."

I have to walk a tightrope. I've been accused of not providing enough information about my products and I've also been accused of providing too much because people can't be bothered to read! In addition, a lot of the stuff I sell is highly technical and really needs an experienced engineer at £50 an hour to fit it. However, I do my best to take the place of the engineer myself, to save you money, and to give adequate and easy-to-understand instructions beforehand.

I know I can't please all of the people all of the time but, actually, I do a pretty good job. :o)


Just to say thanks for your advice and that everything is now fine. I installed the new LNB and cable that I bought from you and my setup now switches reliably to the low band. I think you said in the catalogue that the LNB was second-hand but it looks brand new!

I'm still wading through all the useful info on your web site - even read the account of your father's WW2 experience. My dad also joined the RAF and was offered either bomber crew gunner or ground based radio engineer / operator - He chose the latter which was probably a good move although he was dive-bombed and strafed during his tour of Italy!

Re invoice 108468, the parts arrived at 07.50 hrs Monday. This was particularly impressive as they were only ordered late Saturday evening.

Needless to say the Grundig GDS200 problem is now fixed, thanks to RELKIT 33a.

Just thought I would let you know how I got on with the Satfinder meter, recently received. Verdict ? Fantastic. Both LNB's on my dual feed antenna focussed in forty minutes, and not a residual sparkly in sight. Easily beats the previous total of around five hours without it on three earlier occasions, running up and down the ladder to view the picture each time I made an adjustment. Mind you, that exercise was not in vain- (I think) it did my heart good, and I've now got calf muscles as big as the bum on a shirehorse !!

It was so quick to use that I felt like disturbing all the settings afterwards just to do it again, and to get my moneys worth twice over. Thanks. In fact if I am divorced then you will be to blame !!! Fired with more enthusiasm I have now bought a digital receiver - a budget Skymaster DXL 9100 - bought on the spur of the mo. (and presently hidden from my wife until her mood is right and until I can install it in an existing cabinet- she doesn't understand why I take an interest in watching progs from Dubai and such places).

The Pace Digibox arrived via UPS on Thursday afternoon. It was well packed (my compliments).

I decided to move my dish this afternoon (sat 10th). It was something of a fiasco and involved copious amounts of swearing (after I sent my son downstairs to play). The reception "window" seems awfully small, I only needed to move the dish a slight amount to lose the signal completely.

However, I now have signal strength of 55% and signal quality of 80% - I assume this will be ok as long as i don´t suffer any tornados.

I feel I must thank you for your help and understanding in the matter of the defective panasonic digibox. It is refreshing to find someone who feels responsible and concerned for his customers. The cheque for the shipping cost is in the post - seriously :)

Keep up the good work - people like you restore my faith in humanity.

You know it already, but it must be said again: You are the greatest! Let there be no doubt about it.

Today I came home from work and my 5 year old daughter proudly hands me over the Satcure labeled envelope. My hands start itching and I (de-)soldered all components in a record speed of 45 minutes.

Then the magic moment .. tarahhh! Switch on and yes it works again !!!!!!!!!

Just for the statistics: it turned out that R603 was open circuit.

Just a quick note to once again commend you on your superb service with my recent enquiry and subsequent order. Not only were you able to supply me with a modification for the Maspro SRE-90R to allow full LNB switching ( BTW I had asked a couple of other "repairers" who said that it was not possible !! ) but also the PACE PRD800 machine I purchased now has taken its place (my childrens decision because it looks better!). The PRD arrived in superb condition, worked first time with no problems and is now in constant use.

Thanks for this level of customer service - its a shame others do not take your attitude and try and achieve the same level. But then it would be a perfect world !!

I don't know whats happening to the Italian post, but I received the Churchill handset yesterday (Monday) - incredible! Works great, just what I needed.

I'm blown away by your service, you don't know me at all, yet you sent a considerable amount of stuff completely on trust, to another country - quite amazing - AND apologised for not sending more! I'm quite speechless! Compare that with (for example) Vision-on in Brum, who sold me a Marmitek Gigavideo video sender (over the counter when last we were in the UK) which turned out to have the wrong handset. I emailed several times with no luck, phoned a couple of times (smarmy replies), sent the handset back and eventually received completely the wrong replacement which I sent back weeks ago and so far have heard nothing. Sadly, this kind of service is becoming common in the industry, especially when you live abroad. You have reestablished my faith in UK suppliers and I'm most grateful!
