I was made redundant in 1991 and again in 1995. It wasn't nice. That was when "the penny dropped". If I worked for myself, I couldn't be made redundant - ever! I started a little business in my garage, expanded to my garden shed, then found partners to share the (now overwhelming) work and handle the business from larger premises on their own land. Now I concentrate on expanding the business and on helping others to start up.
